A few simple habits to help your leather age beautifully.
Taking care of leather is not about perfection — it is about attention, patience, and use. Our pieces are designed to age with you, developing character over time. With a few simple habits, your leather item will last for years and become uniquely yours.
Understanding Your Leather
We work with natural leather, selected for its durability, texture, and ability to age beautifully. Unlike synthetic materials, natural leather:
- develops a patina with use
- softens over time
- may show subtle marks that reflect real life
These are not flaws. They are part of the story.
Everyday Care
Keep it clean
- Gently wipe the surface with a soft, dry cloth after regular use
- For light dirt, use a slightly damp cloth (never wet)
- Avoid harsh cleaners, alcohol, or wipes
Let it breathe
- Do not store leather in plastic bags
- Use cotton dust bags or breathable fabric
- Allow air circulation to prevent moisture buildup
Water & Moisture
Leather is water-resistant, not waterproof.
If your item gets wet:
- Pat dry with a clean cloth
- Let it air-dry at room temperature
- Keep away from radiators, heaters, or direct sunlight
Never use a hair dryer or heat source.
Conditioning & Nourishing
Over time, leather benefits from occasional conditioning.
- Use a neutral leather conditioner or balm
- Apply sparingly with a soft cloth
- Test on an inconspicuous area first
For most items, conditioning 1–2 times per year is sufficient.
Natural Honey Wax Care
Each of our products comes with a small amount of natural honey wax, intended to support long-term care and nourishment of the leather.
Honey wax is a traditional, gentle way to moisturize leather, helping it remain supple while enhancing its natural texture and tone.
How to apply
- Use a clean, soft cloth
- Apply a very small amount of wax
- Massage gently into the leather using circular motions
- Allow the leather to absorb the wax naturally
After application, let the item rest for a short period, then gently buff the surface with a dry cloth if needed.
This step is optional and should be done sparingly. In most cases, 1–2 applications per year are more than enough.
As with any care product, we recommend testing first on a discreet area.
Storage Tips
When not in use:
- Store in a dry place
- Avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight
- Keep structured items lightly filled to retain shape
Do not stack heavy items on top of leather products.
What to Avoid
- Excessive water exposure
- Oils, perfumes, and cosmetics directly on leather
- Over-conditioning
- Abrasive surfaces
Leather responds best to gentle, minimal care.
Aging & Character
Scratches, creases, and tonal shifts will appear over time. These marks are a natural part of leather’s evolution and make each piece unique.
Your item will not look the same in five years — and it shouldn’t.
